Introduction

Forget-me-not-farm-holidays are in a rural location on a working farm. Offering Self catering accommodation, in either Forget-me-not-cottage  The Old Wagon House.  the Stable is a en-suite bed room. Forget-me-not and The Old Wagon House are all 4 star,  and the Old Wagon House Mobility 1.

Public transport links.

Due to our rural location Public transport is not the best option to take, but if you need to fly Exeter Airport is 59  miles, and Newquay Cornwall Airport 32 miles 45minutes drive.. There are bus links from the airports to Launceston, where you would need to hire a taxi from to St Clether, about 10 miles in distance. The nearest train stations are Exeter St Davids 54 miles,1hour and 25 minutes drive , Plymouth Station 38 miles, 1hour 6 minute drive, and Liskeard 21miles, 41 minute drive. again a bus and taxi connection via Launceston would be needed from these to get to Forget-me-not. Launceston to Forget me not is 10 miles and 21minute drive.

Approach and car parking

The best means of transport to get to Forget-me-not is by car. Travel down the M5 to the West Country, at Exeter leave the M 5 and travel on the A30 to Launceston, about 3 miles south of Launceston take the A395 to North Cornwall and Wadebridge. Travel along this road for 9 miles, turn left at Cold Northcott Chapel sign posted St. Clether . Travel down this country road 1 mile. You will arrive a Rose Hip Barn on your right . turn left and enter the yard the car parking space for the Old Wagon House is on the left a grey gravel area. Where you can safely park your car. The Stable is there too and you can park , To get to Forget-me-not-cottage carry on the road past Rose Hip Barn  100 yards till you reach the crossroads, the wooden entrance gates to Forget-me-not cottage are on the left. Open the gates, and drive in a chippened area to the left is your car parking space, there is plenty of room to turn your car.

Shops

A selection of shops can be found in Launceston including Tesco’s and in Camelford is a Co-op,  small local shops can be found at Marsh Gate on the Main road to Bude and also at Wainhouse  again on the same main road.  Petrol station at Laneast east on the main A395  also sells a few shop item, not open Saturdays afternoon or Sundays. also at Hallworthy next to the Wilsey Down Pub is a Petrol station and shop selling the main food items. Open 7 days a week .

The Old Wagon House.

From your car there is a paved path to the front entrance door. A slope for wheelchairs. Or a small step. A low threshold door 39” wide will lead to the open plan Kitchen, Dinning, sitting room. Light switch on the wall to your right. The floor through out the Old Wagon House is wooden except for the wet room where there it is a non slip resin floor.

In the dinning area is a table, and 2 chairs, and a bench seat, a large settee and a small settee. 1 T.V. and a real Wood burner, wood for the fire can be found out side the front door in the black bin. The Wagon House also has full central heating. And a combi boiler makes sure the water is always hot for you. The Small but well designed kitchen, has an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer department at the top. Leading from the Dinning area is a short passage with the spacious wet room to the left the floor is non slip and ideal for disabled persons with room to turn a wheelchair and a set for use in the shower and a grab rail in the shower. We can also provide a seat riser for the toilet and a frame, if required.

The Bed room has a double four poster bed, bed side tables either side with bed lights, there is turning space for a standard size wheelchair also a large walk in wardrobe, a chest of draws and a dressing table.

Returning to the Dinning area there are double French doors opposite the main entrance door which lead to a level paved patio area, where there are outside table and chairs and also a washing line can be found to the right hand side of this area. Also to the right are the dustbins and recycling bins.

Guest are asked not to drive or walk down the private lane farm house and yard a joining the Wagon house entrance.

Forget-me-not- Cottage

The entrance is reached by a paved path, there are 2 steps of 6” before entering the front door into the conservatory, and a deep step of 9” then takes you into the main house. A tiled floor runs the length of the passage to the left is the sitting room with wooden floor, settee and easy chairs, T.V and an open fire. There is full central heating throughout the cottage. Returning to the passage the next left door leads to the Dinning room with wooden floor a large pine table and seating for 6, also a wood burner is located to the left if you wish to light either of the fires, logs can be found through the wooden garden gate to the left in a metal container.

Through the dinning room is the kitchen, with slate tile floor, there you will find a electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a country style fitted kitchen. Though another wooden door to the left is a small W.C. and straight ahead is the back door, where again there are two steps of the 6” and one of 5”.

The bedrooms are to be found to the left of the passage, the master double  bedroom has an en-suite with W.,C and shower, and wooden floor is throughout. The twin bedroom with wooden floor is at the end of the passage and the single bedroom with wooden floor, to the left there is also a pull out extra single bed in this room, or room for the pine cot.

The bath room is opposite with a wooden floor  a W.C. hand basin and bath, we do ask guest not to disposed of Sanitary items down the toilets but to put them in the disposable bags provided, and dispose of them in the bin. To the left of the bathroom door is a large airing cupboard, which contains extra bed linen for the single bed.

The Stable

Is next to the Old Wagon House, it is a stone building, with one entrance door, there is a step in to the Stable, the floor is all wood, there is a king size bed or can be made as two single beds, to the left of the entrance door is a well mounted TV, on the chest is tea and coffee making facilities, half way along the left and right wall is a window, the left one over looking the county road and Rose Hip Barn and the Left on over looking the patio, both have wide wooden ciles, and window shutters, and curtains. The light stitch is just inside the main entrance door on the left. There are 6 spot lights, and two wall lights. On the far side of the Stable is a shower, hand basin and wc in the shower room accessed by a wooden sliding door, there is also a wardroom with a wooden sliding door, either side of the bed is a bedside light, also there is a radio and mini fridge.
